It’s been a while

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, my apologies to my follower(s).

For a long time I’ve felt that, as a society and a country, we’ve been headed down hill for the last several decades and after the election of Obama, we went over the cliff.

The people feel they no longer have a voice in the direction this country is going. The lobbyists and big moneyed special interests on K Street control Congress and the direction it goes.

The political “elite” are the lapdogs of big business and will do whatever they’re told to do, regardless of what’s best for the country and it’s citizens.

And then along comes “the Donald”, basically every professional politicians nightmare. Do I think Donald Trump is the best man for the job? No. Do I think he’s better than any one else running? Absolutely.

One of the things I like about Donald Trump is he’s anything but PC. All this politically correct bullshit drives my crazy, we’ve become the “United States of the Offended”. Trump on the other hand, says exactly what he’s thinking, if it offends someone, too bad. He doesn’t apologize or have a spokesperson on TV the next day saying he was “misquoted” or “it was taken out of context”.

The Republican Party was sure they would be able to control the primary process, making sure one of the chosen ones would be nominated to run for President on the GOP ticket. After all, the rank and file Republican voter would never go for a Donald Trump, he’ so “not Republican”. We can’t “control” him (no one controls Trump except Trump) so we have to be sure he’s not nominated. With 17 candidates running that shouldn’t be a problem, right?  Wrong! The GOP and all the experts underestimated Trump.

The GOP did everything it could to stop Trump. Even to the point of throwing all their backing behind Ted Cruz, someone who the GOP disliked only slightly less than Trump. Even that didn’t work. Donald Trump resonated with the average voter. He’s saying what they’re thinking and feeling.

Now that the GOP see’s the handwriting on the wall, they’re doing everything they can to defeat Trump.

The self-serving, moneyed elite, the professional politician can see the writing on the wall. If they don’t stop Trump, their life as they know it is over.

They’re so concerned that they would rather see Hillary Clinton elected rather than Donald Trump. Why? Simple, if Hillary Clinton is elected, nothing changes politically, life as the power elite know it will continue. The moneyed, special interests will still be in control and life will continue to be “good”. Plus, as a side benefit, they now have someone to blame when things go wrong. If Trump wins, politics as usual will be over . Sounds good to me.

I actually have no problem at all with a woman being President, just not that woman. She is an arrogant, egotistical, self-centered, self-serving, out of touch with reality iconoclast who think she deserves to be President. She really doesn’t care about the people, they’re simply a means to an end.

In the end, if Clinton wins, we lose. If Trump wins, we win. Sounds good to me.
