Slavery in the United States in the 21st Century

It’s fascinating to me how the blacks, uh, I mean “African-Americans” keep falling back on “slavery” as the root of ALL of their problems. Let’s be clear, as the meme says “I didn’t own any slaves and you didn’t pick any cotton. Case closed”. That is so true.  The blacks keep harping on slavery. This is something that affected their great great great great great grandparents. It has absolutely no effect on them personally, however, they’ve bought into the arguments of the professional racists like Al Sharpton that all of their problems are because of “white privilege” or “white supremacy”.

In truth there is still slavery in the United States in the 21st century, and the black population as a whole has become willing participants in it. The largest slave owner in the history of this country is, surprise, surprise, the Democratic Party! They have locked most of the blacks in this country into a modern version of slavery by giving them “free stuff” and convincing them the anyone else will not only give them nothing extra, it will take away all the free stuff they’ve already gotten.

It has made them slaves to the Democratic Party. They are more than willing to sell their political soul to get free stuff

The irony is, they keep electing Democrats that promise them everything and deliver nothing.

Pretty Much What I Expected

Well, I’ve been sitting quietly on the sidelines for the last few months, watching what’s going on in DC. It’s pretty much “spot on” as to what I predicted would happen. Instead of everyone working for the good of the country, everyone, and I mean everyone is getting on the bash Trump train.

Just like I predicted. All the professional lifetime politicians would rather spend all their time trying to make Trump fail than working for the good of the country.

Time will tell how all this works out…we’ll see.

Correction

In my very first post on this blog, way back on January 9, 2013, I posted my thoughts on what it would take and what I would do to “fix” the government.

I want to make a very profound correction.

My second point was, “eliminate the Electoral College”.

I want to correct that. I no longer believe that eliminating the Electoral College and electing the President by direct election would not be good or appropriate for this country.

Why? Because I now understand something about the college that I didn’t understand before.

You may say that my “change of heart” is because, without it, my candidate of choice wouldn’t have won the Presidency. That is partially true. I happy that Trump won but what this election opened my eyes to is that if the election would have been decided by popular vote then three areas would have controlled this country’s direction and destination for at least the next four years. There are 3,142 counties in the United States. Clinton won 487 of them (I don’t think the reports that Clinton only won 57 counties are credible).

The heavy hitters in California, New York, and the DC area, basically, the East and West coast of the country would have set direction we would be going.

I now understand the function of the electoral college. It’s there to help protect the majority of the nation from being controlled by a few densely populated areas.

The high population centers on the coasts basically ignore “middle America” now. That’s where the term “flyover nation” comes from. The “powers that be” fly east coast to west coast and totally ignore everything in between as irrelevant, after all, it’s just a bunch of rural “rubes”. I can only imagine what would happen if they were “power centers” that controlled governmental policy.

So I stand corrected. I now think the Electoral College is correct and appropriate for this country.

It’s been a few weeks since my last post.

After the frenzy that marked the evening of November 8 (I stayed up until nearly 4:00 AM), I’ve been sitting on the sidelines quietly watching the “meltdown” of all these SJW snowflakes.

Personally, I think it’s hilarious. All of the demonstrations, all of the riots, all of the tears, all of the swearing, all of the cries to eliminate the Electoral College, I think it’s hilarious to watch the SJWs and other Hillary supporters crash and burn.

Now, I hope after all of the hype and visceral name calling, that Donald Trump does live up to the “hype” and accomplishes what he set out to do, make America great again.,

Something else I think is funny, I know that all these “snowflakes” who, no doubt, think the end times are upon us, will scurry to their “safe spaces” and promptly be eaten by their therapy dogs.

What’s The Difference?

You know, the last few days I’ve been watching the latest wailings of the “butt-hurt” liberal left, the rulings elites, the globalists, and just plain Democrats about Trump winning.

Now, it’s the Russians fault. They’ve tried to influence the outcome of the election by hacking into the DNC and exposing their E-mails for all the world to see.

One thing, not one person has said that these E-mails weren’t real, that they were fake or phony. All they are whining about is how they were obtained by Wikileaks.That they were “stolen” , “allegedly” by hackers from the Russian government, all for the purpose of getting Donald Trump elected.

Okay all of you “media elites”, I ask you, what difference is there between what the Russian government allegedly did and what you obviously  did?

You “say” the Russians tried to influence the outcome of the election in favor of Trump. Well that the exact same thing you did. Almost the entire American media conspired to sway the American voter in favor of Hillary. You were so obvious, a blind man could see it.

So I ask, what’s the difference between you did and what you say the Russians did? The answer is simple, nothing. You’re a pot calling the kettle black.

This Really “Bites”!!

I tell you, the people that make up the northwest part of this country are unbelievable! I know it isn’t everybody, but it’s enough of them that stuff like the following happens, and it’s allowed to happen by the ones that sit on the sidelines and do nothing to stop it.

What am I ranting about? Well, the school board in Hillsborough, Oregon has banned Santa Clause!! Why? Here’s their statement:

“You may still decorate your door or office if you like, but we ask that you be respectful and sensitive to the diverse perspectives and beliefs of our community and refrain from using religious-themed decorations or images like Santa Claus.”

First, the A-holes that crafted this should realize that Santa Clause is not a religious figure! In fact, the popular image of Santa Clause was crafted by Coca-cola as an advertising gimmick at the turn of the last century.

Second, lets talk about this “sensitivity”. Why do we always have to be the ones who show sensitivity ?  Why do we have to change what we’ve been celebrating and the way we celebrate it because others “may” be offended by it?

Why don’t they show some sensitivity to our beliefs?

I Can’t Picture Hillary…

Congratulations to Donald Trump and Mike Pense for getting Carrier to keep 1,000 jobs in this country instead of shipping all of them to Mexico.

You know, there’s no doubt in my mind, NONE! that if Hillary had been elected, these jobs would still be headed to Mexico.

Not only would she not have done anything to stop it, it never would have occurred to her to even try to do anything.

The warped way she looks at the world, and her constituents, is “Okay, now I’m President, I got what I want and was owed to me, I don’t need you or your votes anymore so screw you and your pathetic “little people” lives. So you lost your job. At this point, what does it matter, get over it and leave me the hell alone!”

Big difference between Hillary and Donald Trump, her ego won’t allow her to even think about actually caring about people. Donald Trump’s ego won’t allow him to fail.

As a side note, I guess the Democratic Party is happy being a loser.

With all the loses and outright rejection of their leadership, Nancy Pelosi was reelected as minority house leader. At least that A-hole Harry Reid is gone.

Funny How That Works

I was reading an article in “New York Magazine” about the election results. In it they  are talking about a group of people that it only identifies as “a group of election lawyers and computer scientists” are asking Hillary Clinton to demand a recount.

Apparently the votes tallied didn’t agree with what they thought they should be. It appears that in rural areas of Wisconsin, Trump did better than the “experts” said he should but Hillary did better in urban areas. Coincidentally,  electronic voting machines were used in rural areas. They admit they have no proof of tampering, I guess just a gut feeling.

Personally, I think the vote count is accurate, the “rural” areas a just smarter than the “urban” (read “ghetto”)  areas and didn’t fall for the promise of “free stuff” in an effort to legally buy votes.

They’re saying the same thing about Michigan and Pennsylvania.

The one comment I would like to make. Why, when you asked Trump if he would accept the election results, and he said “we’ll see”, all of the media and #nevertrump people when absolutely apoplectic! Demanding that he abide by the results. And now that the shoe is so totally, unexpectedly, on the other foot, you can’t seem to live by your own demands.

YOU LOST!!  Get over it, get over the drama. Why don’t you use some of that “indignant” energy you have so much of and work to actually improve the country.

Like it or not, Mr. Trump will work to improve every American’s life, even yours.

Colin Kaepernick, HYPOCRITE!

I think that it’s very interesting the hypocrisy that these “famous”  display.

Remember when it was all over the news about how Colin Kaepernick was protesting black injustices and did that by showing a great deal of disrespect during the playing of the “Star Spangled Banner” at games. And remember, just this past week, how the cast of “Hamilton” displayed disrespect  with the vice-president elect Mike Pense in the audience, giving a speech on, basically, how they don’t like the way things went with the election.

What gets me is the utter, absolute hypocrisy these people displayed. They DIDN’T VOTE!!

That, to me, is the absolute hallmark of hypocrisy. You whine and cry and scream and “protest” yet you won’t even become part of the process.

You have a lot of gall and a lot of nerve. You’re spineless and “all talk”. You have zero credibility and don’t deserve the free publicity that you’ve received.

When you get off your lazy, whinny ass and actually vote, maybe even help campaign for something that you (supposedly) believe in, then you get a say in how this country is run. Until then “SHUT UP!

Right Back At Ya!

You know, just a few weeks ago when Mr. Trump was asked if he would accept the election results and he answered “We’ll see.” Remember how the left went nuts saying that that would cause a constitutional crisis and basically, he couldn’t do that. He has to accept the results. After all, it’s the will of the people.

Well, Right back at ya, liberals!  Now that (for them) the unthinkable has happened, they are the ones hollering UNFAIR! We were cheated! It wasn’t supposed to go this way! How could this be?! All the polls were wrong! I don’t understand! WA WA WAAAAAA!!!.

It’s time for YOU to suck it up and accept the results. Yes, Trump won the Electoral College and yes, Hillary won the popular vote. But guess what, it’s the Electoral College that elects the President, not the popular vote. It has been that way since the very first election. You can’t say you weren’t aware of it.

Now I see you’re trying to get some of the electors to change their votes so Trump doesn’t win. So, who now is wanting to cause a constitutional crisis?

So, just like usual, the liberal left, you didn’t get your way, so now you say the process (that’s nearly 250 years old!) is flawed and needs to be changed to something that’s more “fair”.

SUCK IT UP LIBERALS! You lost, accept it and move on.
